Great environment, loved the coffee, awesome baked goods, and some healthy snack options! Their coconut milk has sugar in it, so I couldn't have any specialty drinks, but they have oat, almond, and coconut milk for those lactose intolerant. There are a lot of people working and studying, space can be hard to find when it's cold, but lots of options. Kids toys, outdoor seating, and attic, sunroom.. totally worth going. Everything you'd hope for from a cute coffee shop.

Brakeman’s Coffee and Supply. Their latte is the bomb. Plus, they’ve got a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the downtown street view. A perfect place to enjoy a coffee and relax.

Fun place & great customer service! We got the Ticket Please (one chocolate, one caramel) wished it was more espresso flavored, but it was good. Two shots of espresso seem muted with the ice cream base, but that makes sense. May add another shot next time! Chocolate chip cookie at the register was a hit with our youngest! Love the atmosphere & the outdoor seating is beautiful!

The best coffee shop in Matthews. A great place to study, sit down for a chat, or just enjoy the afternoon. It has tables in the front and back of the shop, as well as tables inside. It features paintings by local artists and sells a few souvenirs.

This is a very cute and quaint little coffee shop in a house. There is seating choices from outside, on the screened in porch and on the inside with a variety of types of seating. There was even a room that had some games and educational tools for children, for example all the capitols of the US on a map toy. I wasn’t sure what to order so I asked the cashier and she was super friendly and helped me order something that was more fitting to my tastes. They have homemade baked goods that range from seasonal goods to classic goods. I tried a banana nut crumbcake which was moist and not too sweet. I enjoyed the atmosphere that could work for family’s, dates, and a change of scenery for people who work from home.

Great cafe for some nice coffee and pastries. The place has lots of sits to do your work and get your remote work done. The place is very nice and the staff are also very nice.

I keep revisiting this for their gorgeous outdoor garden seating area, perfect for a coffee date or a relaxing hangout with your girl pals. The atmosphere is cozy, and the indoor seating faces the street for a lively vibe. Their coffee brews and the treats are rich and flavorful.

Anytime I am in the vicinity of Brakeman’s, no matter if I need it or not, it’s coffee time. It’s a quaint little home that they turned into a full-fledged business. The concept is locomotives, so the interior exposed brick, hard metal accent pieces, and even names of beverages all point in the same direction. The customer service is incredible and usually has the same faces, so getting to know the staff on a first name basis is very common. The bakery they contract with is a local non-profit and puts out amazing products. They also have other food related items for purchase for convenience. Where it all matters, because upscale coffee shops are white noise these days, the beans and roast are impeccable. I’ve tried a little bit of everything on their menu and the espresso is very high level. I highly recommend the Ticket to London. Pricing is on-point and reasonable considering the quality of product and location of business. What I really enjoyed, just as much as the rest of the aforementioned aspects, was the customer demographic. You get a variety of everyone in there, but yet it doesn’t feel overcrowded, overhyped, or commercialized. It’s just a good local spot with great coffee and top shelf staff. I highly recommend.
